What We Value

Supporting Local Business

IMG_0005.jpeg

All our traders are small business owners from in and around The Isle Of Purbeck who prioritise using locally produced ingredients to create their goods.

Also, everyone who has helped to create Pop-Up On The Hill, from putting up fences to sewing the bunting, are also small business owners from the surrounding area.

The Environment

Pop-Up On The Hill has a no single-use-plastic policy.

We ensure all packaging, crockery and cutlery used by traders to serve their food and drink is either reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable.

All our rubbish is taken to a processing plant where around 90% will be recycled and the rest that ends up in landfill will harmlessly biodegrade.

Our Community

By creating a focal hub where visitors and the local community can access our wonderful local artisans more easily we hope that more people choose to avoid the processed plastic-wrapped food in supermarkets and go for locally created products created by masters of their art.

The idea is that a greater percentage of money spent on The Isle Of Purbeck over the summer stays in the local community while simultaneously reducing non-biodegrade plastic rubbish.

Preserving the Peace

We hope all visitors to Pop-Up On The Hill have fun, however, please use your common sense and be mindful of our neighbours (wild animals, farm animals and humans).

We kindly ask you not to play loud music and to make sure all your rubbish goes in a bin.
